The BMB construction group, part of the international BME group, currently has nine branches in Flanders, mainly located in the Waasland and the Kempen. A new location will soon be added to the Blue Gate eco-business park, south of Antwerp, not far from where the new bicycle bridge is also planned.

Focus on city distribution

City distribution is the keyword in the construction of that new location. “Via our international colleagues in the Île de France region, Germany and the Dutch central cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague, we have a great deal of knowledge in the field of urban distribution. We also want to work with this in the region around Antwerp. ”
In Antwerp is currently a lot under construction and being renovated. BMB wants to ensure that customers can quickly stock up in the "Pro Shop" area. At the same time, the delivery to customers in Antwerp and the immediate surroundings is also provided from the new location with adapted trucks. The materials are supplied by water, via the terminal operated by logistics group Van Moer at Blue Gate. “We want to take maximum advantage of the logistical advantage over the competition,” says Jef Huet, general manager of BMB Bouwmaterialen. "Antwerp was still a blank spot on our map."
